As the prices of food can vary somewhat depending on its type, season etc, then I request from my believing brothers to note the price of the food that they themselves use and calculate the cost of three kilograms worth or they can simply pay the amounts mentioned below, which are mid-range and may include a little extra to be on the safe side.

Flour or Rice:       approx $10 (includes addition)

Dates:
Normal Quality:   approx $5/kg, hence the zakat would be $15.
High Quality:        approx $15+/kg, hence the zakat would be $50.
