• His name: Ja’far Ben Mohammad Ben Ali Ben Al Hussein Ben Ali Ben Abi Talib (as).
• His mother: Um Farwah.
• His titles: The most famous one is Abu Adullah Al Sadiq.
• His Birth Date: He was born in the Holy Medina at 17th of Rabiul Awal year 83 A.H..
• His wives: Fatima Bentul Hussein Ben Ali Ben Al Hussein (as) and Hamidah (Mother of Imam Kadhem (as)) and few others.
• His offspring: Ismaeil, Abdullah, Imam Mussa Al Kadhem (as), Isac, Mohammad, Al Abass, Ali, Farwah, Asma and Fatima.
• His stamp: Allah is the creator of everything. It also has been narrated in other ways.
• His age: 65 years.
• His Imamate: 34 years.
• He has lived at the end of the Umayyad Rule and The beginning of Abbasid reign.
• His Date of Martyrdom: 25th of Shawal in the year 148 A.H. at the Holy Medina.
• The reason of his martyrdom was because of a poison sent to him by Mansoor Al Dawaniqi, the Abbasid Caliph.
• His grave’s place: Janatul Baqie.
• Najashi in his book (Al Rejal) has narrated from Hassan Ben Ali Al Washa that he has said: “I have seen in this Mosque (Masjid Al Kufah)  900 Sheikhs, everyone says: taught me Ja’far Ben Mohammad. He (as) was stating that “my narration is my father’s narration. My father’s narration is my grandfather’s narration. My grandfather’s narration is Ali Ben Abi Talib’s narration. Ali’s narration is Prophet of Allah’s narration and prophet’s narration is the saying of the Almighty Allah swt. Also Ibn Shahrashob in his book (Al Manaqeb) has said that: “The books of narrations, wisdom, apathy and advice can never be empty from his statements as they all say: Ja’far Ben Mohammad Al Sadiq (as) has stated.
