  • Imam Sadiq [as] said: "A Muslim believer must not attend a meeting wherein Allah laws are being disobeyed and the one is not in a position to stop it." (Usul-i-Kafi, vol. 2, p. 374)

  • Imam Sadiq [as] said: "He who habitually tells the truth, his deeds are purified; Allah increases the sustenance of the one whose intention is good; and he who treats his family members well, Allah prolongs the length of his life."(Khisal by Saduq, vol. 1 p. 88)

  • At the last moments of his life, Imam Sadiq [as] called his relations and companions and told them: "Verily, our intercession never reaches the one who takes prayers lightly."(Bihar-ul-Anwar, vol. 82, p. 236)

  • Imam Amir-ul-Mu'mineen Ali [as] said: "Having the Greatness of the Creator in your mind would make you realize the insignificance of the creatures in your view." (Nahjul-Balagha, Statement 129)

  • The Holy Prophet [sa] said: "Train your children in three things: the love of your Prophet, the love of his progeny, i.e. Ahlul-Bayt, and recitation of the Qur'an." (AI-Jami'-ul-Saghir, vol. 1, p. 14)

  • Imam Sadiq [as] said: "Verily everything is intimidated by a believer because the religion of Allah causes him to be powerful, and he is not intimidated by anything, which (epithet) is the characteristic of any believer." (Bihar-ul-Anwar, vol. 67, p. 305)

  • The Holy Prophet [sa] said: "Shall I not introduce 'a believer' to you? A believer is the one whom other believers trust with their souls and wealth. Shall I not introduce 'a Muslim' to you? A Muslim is the one from whose hand and tongue other Muslims are safe.... It is unlawful (Haram) for a believer to do wrong against another believer, or leave him/her in a lurch, or backbite against him/her, or suddenly reject him/her."(AI-Kafi, vol. 2, p. 235)

  •  Imam Mahdi [as] said: “I am a remainder from Adam, a relic of Noah, a choice from Abraham and an elite of Mohammad (PBUT)”. (Bihar al-Anwar Ch.52, P.238)

  • Imam Mahdi [as] said: “Indeed, right is with us and in us, and nobody else say that but a liar and an impostor”. (Bihar al-Anwar Ch.53, P.191)

  • Imam Mahdi [as] said: “Truly, the Exalted Allah is the one who created all forms and apportioned the provision; because He is not a form nor is He embodied in a form; nothing can be compared with him; and he is the All-hearing All-knowing”. (Al-Ghayba, by sheikh al-Toosy P. 178)

  •  Fuzayl narrated that Imam Sadiq [as] said: "Express our greetings to whoever you see and tell them that-by God- none of us are of any use for them unless they themselves adhere to piety. Be careful about what you say and do, and be one of those who persevere and establish prayers since God is the Helper of those who persevere." (Mishkat Ul-Anwar fi GHurar Al-Akhbar, Ch. 12, No.204)

  • Imam Amir-ul-Mu'mineen Ali [as] was asked to describe this world. He said: "How can I describe the world for you in which you are accountable for what you rightfully earn, and will be punished for what you wrongfully earn. If you could only see what happens during and after death, you would give up all worldly aspirations and its tricky attractions." He then added: "God will reward whoever is really pious with peace of mind without any need for a companion; and is self-sufficient without any wealth; and has dignity without being a ruler." (Mishkat Ul-Anwar fi GHurar Al-Akhbar, Ch. 12, No.197)

  • In Al-Mahasin it is narrated that Abu-Basir asked Imam Sadiq [as] regarding God's statement: "Fear God as He should be feared" [The Holy Quran: Al-i-Imran 3:102]. He said: "It means that He should be obeyed, and not revolted against; He should be remembered, and not be blasphemed." (Mishkat Ul-Anwar fi GHurar Al-Akhbar, Ch. 12, No.195)

  • Imam Sadiq [as] reported on the authority of his Grandfather that Imam Ali [as] said that God's Prophet [sa] said: "Whoever performs ablution and prays properly, pays the alms tax, overcomes his anger, controls his tongue, seeks God's forgiveness for his sins, and guides his family members has indeed completed the real aspects of faith and the gates of Heaven are open to him." (Mishkat Ul-Anwar fi GHurar Al-Akhbar, Ch. 12, No.164)

  •  Imam Baqir [as] reported the following on the authority of the Prophet of God [sa]: "Do you want me to tell you who a believer is? A believer is one with whom the believers trust their lives and property. Do you want me to tell you who a Muslim is? A Muslim is one from whose hands and tongue other Muslims are safe. And an emigrant is one who abstains from doing evil deeds and does not do whatever God has forbidden him to do." (Mishkat Ul-Anwar fi GHurar Al-Akhbar, Ch. 12, No.168)

  • Imam Redha [as] quoted the Prophet of God [sa]: "Faith has seventy gates and a few more. The biggest one is witnessing that there is only one God, and there are no partners for Him, and the smallest one is cleaning up the walkways." ((Mishkat Ul-Anwar fi GHurar Al-Akhbar, Ch. 12, No.171)

  • Imam Ali al-Hadi [as]: “Who has absolute proof from his God, then all the worldly disasters would seem little for him even if he was cut into pieces” (Tuhaful Uqool, P 511)
