Quick story on Shaytan

A true Believer saw the Shaytan in the sea praying and saying: " Oh dear God I swear to you by the rights of Prophet Mohamad not to torture me."

The man asks the devil : " You seek refugee in IMam Ali Too?"

The Devil replies:" I was in the Upper skies six thousand years worshipping God,and my information is very abundant and I know things you humans don't know. I know that the dearest and most beloved man to God after Prophet Mohamad is he ( Imam ALi) and therefore, I am swearing to Allah by Imam ALi because God doesn't turn anyone down when asked for the sake of the Imam.

The man said:" Advice oh devil, you were a teacher to all angels and  you know much."

The shaytan said :" i will advice with two sentences one for your life on earth and one for your heavenly life, if you want to live in happiness be satisfied and convinced with what God has provided for you even if it was only crumbs of bread. Being over protective of what you have leads to misery and unsatisfaction . As for your heavenly life keep the love and support of Imam Ali for the moment of death and for your grave."

The man went to Imam Al Sadiq and informed of his incident with the devil , The Imam replied that what he had witnessed from the devil is not valid. Since if the devil truly sheltered to Imam Ali he wouldn't have acted the way he did; therefore, all his supplications and prayers will not benefit him.
